Dodge has revealed the Mopar '27 Charger, a numbered 90th-anniversary special edition limited to 270 cars and offered as a $10,995 package on the two-door Charger R/T and Charger Scat Pack Plus. The car is due to make its public debut at SEMA, with dealer orders opening in January 2027 and production starting in spring 2027.
What the package adds
The changes are cosmetic and personalisation-focused rather than mechanical. The front end gains a Direct Connection carbon-fibre splitter and a carbon-fibre hood with a functional scoop, backed by a cold-air intake system. A carbon-fibre rear spoiler and bespoke bodyside graphics complete the exterior treatment.
Inside, each car carries a unique dashboard badge, and a serialized Mopar '27 90th-anniversary plaque is mounted on the radiator closeout panel under the hood. Every buyer also receives an owner's kit containing a personalised certificate of authenticity with the build number and a rendering of the car from Mopar's design team.
Three exterior colours are offered: Bludicrous, Diamond Black and White Knuckle, with 90 units allocated to each, a split that mirrors the 90 years being marked.
Engines and performance carry over
Neither model gains power over its standard Charger trim, and both keep all-wheel drive with an on-demand rear-wheel-drive mode. The Charger R/T uses a twin-turbo 3.0-litre SIXPACK inline-six producing 420 horsepower, reaching 60 mph in 4.6 seconds and covering the quarter-mile in 12.9 seconds.
The Scat Pack Plus runs the same 3.0-litre engine with fully forged internals and larger 54-millimetre Garrett twin turbos, lifting output to 550 horsepower, cutting 0-60 mph to 3.9 seconds and the quarter-mile to 12.2 seconds, and adding leather performance seats, 20-by-11-inch wheels and the Carbon and Suede package.
That matters because the $10,995 buys appearance and provenance, not pace. Buyers who want the Mopar badge as a performance upgrade will find the same acceleration and power figures as the car it sits on.
Allocation and the Mopar specials lineage
Of the 270 units, 243 are earmarked for the US market and 27 for Canada. The Mopar '27 Charger follows a long line of factory-built Mopar specials that began with the Mopar '10 Dodge Challenger and has since included Mopar-badged Chargers, Durangos and a Ram 1500 RHO, making this the fourth Charger to receive the full treatment since 2011.
Darren Bradshaw, senior vice president of Stellantis parts and services for North America, said the package "showcases our passion for personalization and performance while celebrating nine decades of helping enthusiasts make their vehicles uniquely their own".
Dodge will also display a Moparized Ram 1500 Rumble Bee project truck at SEMA, fitted with Direct Connection concept parts including a custom hood with a see-through window exposing its supercharger.
Australian availability and pricing for the Mopar '27 package have not been announced.
