Ford has widened the 2027 Bronco range with a detuned version of the Bronco Raptor's twin-turbo 3.0-litre V-6, now offered on the Outer Banks, Badlands and Heritage Edition trims as well as the previously announced Filson Edition. The engine makes 380 horsepower and 440 pound-feet of torque, paired with standard all-wheel drive and Ford's 10-speed automatic.

The Raptor itself keeps its edge with 418 horsepower from the same basic engine, though torque is identical at 440 pound-feet across both states of tune.

Where the new engine lands

The 3.0-litre EcoBoost V-6 was previously confirmed only for the new Filson Edition, without power figures or any word on wider availability. Ford has now detailed both, putting the detuned unit within reach of buyers of the more mainstream Bronco grades.

Every version of the engine sends its drive through all-wheel drive and the company's widely used 10-speed automatic.

Cheaper trims pick up comfort kit

The upgrades reach beyond the engine bay. The Big Bend trim, one step above the base model in the 2026 range, gains a heated steering wheel through its Mid package.

Outer Banks models optioned with the Lux package swap their previously standard leather seats for what Ford calls a premium vinyl material. The Badlands trim can now be specified with marine-grade vinyl upholstery, and for the first time Ford offers these seats with power adjustment.

Details and pricing still to come

Neptune Blue replaces Velocity Blue in the paint palette, and the keypad entry system has been redesigned, moving from the driver's door to a more integrated row of buttons on the B-pillar.

Ford has not said what the new engine option costs, nor released full 2027 Bronco pricing. The only confirmed figure so far is the RTR edition at $50,790 before destination fees, which would put its real starting point near $53,000.
